On August 9th 2019, the third and the final Iron Viz
global qualifier contest was open. The theme for the qualifier contest was migration. Participants were required to use a dataset provided by The Associated Press
to track refugees' movements from around the world. The visualization reveals interesting insights about the global migration state, and how the world is responding to such important issue, while taking you through refugees' journey from their origins, to their first asylum country and all the way to where they resettle
. This visualization was my first ever Iron Viz
and got first place with a pretty decent score that I am really honored and happy with.
